Best Three Tourists Experience To Try In Mesa

By Blake Jacobs

The third major city in Arizona, Mesa has a lot of recreational activities that should be tried by any visitor. If you are sick and tired with going through the typical tourist activity of walking, sight-seeing, shopping and eating, then Mesa is the best place for you with its different physically-inducing activities. To thoroughly take advantage of each of these activities, it is ideal that you allot one day for each.

From the months of May to September, it is excellent to make the most of the waters of the Salt River for you and your friends and family to go tubing down its waters. Simply because Mesa has no beach whatsoever, tubing down the Salt River is just a tradition. You will have about 2 to 6 hours of floating through the river, depending on where you started out, for a rent of only $15 per tube. It is best that you go on a weekday as weekends are much swarmed and could even be riotous.

To get to the river, take the Beeline Highway 87 going towards Fountain Hill, passing via Shea Boulevard to Saguaro Lake turnoff, take right and then you are heading to the Salt Lake River Tubing. From Saguaro Lake, it would take approximately 10 miles before you arrive at the Salt Lake Recreation Area so be certain that your car is in excellent condition by having it checked at any of the Mesa Auto Repair shops.

Next activity to try is a stop by at the Stratum Laser Tag. Here, you can safely shoot your classmates and friends with a laser gun within a tag arena. There is no need for some equipment as this will be provided for when you register for a session.

Players are granted with a vest that contains particular shooting target areas while they roam the massing 13,000 square foot laser tag arena. Each game takes for about 20 minutes with up to 60 participants. With 15 distinct levels, towers, bridges and ramps, there is more than enough space to get away from the shooting and to open laser fire on any person. At the end of each game, players will get a print out describing the rank of the gamers, the number of times you were hit and the number of impressive hits you have reached. In addition to the tag arena, there is also an arcade and a snack bar.

For those who have dreams of becoming pilots or who only like to experience flying, you will get the time of your life at the Fighter Combat International. Situated at the Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa, you can twist through air stunts without having any prior flying experience. You will be zooming with a skilled pilot as you decide on which among the many flying menu you would wish to experience. You can try the aerobatic stunts or enroll an air combat maneuvering where you will realize the concepts behind aerial aerobatic combat. Yes, combat. You will be associated with some other ‘pilot’ for an aerial ‘fight!’

An experience electrifying as this won’t come at a cheap cost-save up $450 for the Power and Super Rides and $750 for Air Combat Missions. Expensive, but it is undeniably well worth the experience. In the end, how many of the folks you know have really flown a plane, much less a combat plane?
