While most drum circles are similar in style, each have their own drum circle facilitation and rhythm. So, when desiring to lead such an event, one may want to consider which type of drum circle one would like to host. For, there are both circles in which the drummers perform and those in which both drummers and dancers play with different rhythms and improvisation. Of course, there are also those individuals which have found a balance which blends these two different forms together as one.

In addition, whether using live or recorded music, it is important to keep an upbeat tempo. However, it is also good to have a build up of energy, then a leveling off which leads back to a state of stillness. For, while movement is often associated with such an event, it is not a requirement.

For, while one may only lead a regularly scheduled drum and dance event, there is nothing to any such individual can not lead or participate in other related events. In fact, as there are also a number of different dance camps and weekends around the world, those interested in leading such workshops may also want to look for opportunities in which one can trade leading workshops and other ideas in exchange for registration cost to such event.

Although, as such events are not always with financial reach of many individuals, there are often scholarships for which those wishing to attend such an event can apply. So, before not attending any such event due to cost, it is often good to check with the organization to see if such help is available. For, while there are often many different grants and scholarships related to the arts, not all are as advertised as well as others.

As such, one may want to read a number of different reviews and testimonials to get an idea of whether or not one is suited towards facilitating such an event. For, while it appears easy on the surface, there are also other considerations such as meeting insurance and fire code requirements. Of course, when using a rental space, it is also important to verify who is responsible should an incident occur during a drum or drum and dance event in such space.

To this end, one should not skip a dance camp or drum weekend simply because one has not attended a local event nor knows no one at the event. For, often such events can lead to lifelong friendships. As such, whether going alone, or, with other dancers and drummers, such event is often considered one of the best way to build strong and lasting relationships.
