Free New Unthinkable Movies

By Selena Mendez

One of the many suspense thriller movies released in America of late is the “Unthinkable”. Though given a rating of “R” for extreme torture and brutal vulgarity, the movie did get a top billing and rating among the lovers of suspense thrillers. The direction of the movie has been handled by Gregor Jordan and the story is written by Oren Moverman and Peter Woodward. From the technical point of view, the direction is just more than the average quality, despite the weight of the story. Some of the scenes and the actions at specific points are also not laudable, to say the least. However, the plot as well as the weight of the story carries along making it worth watching.

The plot for the movie is very simple and can be explained in no more than 100 words. A militant by name Younger plots three nuclear weapons across the US in three major places. The detonators are very powerful ones and are capable of killing about 10 million at a single time. Younger reveals it to the world and also gets caught by the FBI with the cruel idea of being in safe custody while the nuclear weapons detonate. The police or the investigating team gets this information that is relevant to the safety of the country. With tine running short for diffusing the bomb, the plot thickens. How the country is saved by the FBI and other members of the investigating team from the disaster and what Mohammed has to say in defense will the plot of the story.

Agent Brody of the CTU team is the character played by Carrie-Anne Moss and has done justice to the role with a neat work. Her soft attitude and insistence on abiding by the law while treating the militant are worth praise. The FBI team is headed by Mr. H, the role played by Samuel L Jackson. How these two interact, despite having two diametrically opposite views, in getting the details from Muhammad Younger, the militant, is the plot of the story.

Younger somehow is arrested and come under the interrogation of the investigating team comprising of Mr. H and Agent Brody. While Agent Brody tries to get information from the militant in a soft manner, Mr. H tries to torment and torture the militant to get the information. The unusual methods, the cruelty and the torture, though seem excessive, have been employed to get the information from the militant, who turns out to be a very tough nut to crack. As part of the investigation, militant’s wife has been summoned and brutally killed. Unable to extract information, his two young children were brought and used as weapons to get information. The suspense thriller ends with diffusing of the bombs and freeing the person, who however kills himself by committing suicide.

As this technique didn’t prove to be effective, the interrogators used his two children as a weapon and threatened to kill them if he didn’t give any details. The militant helps the interrogators and assist them to diffuse the bomb. Mohammed commits suicide in the climax of the movie. This movie is really thrilling and entertaining.
