Today, Hollywood presents to us one of the greatest and remarkable personalities: Arnold Schwarzenegger. Being a multi-talented person, he had a great acting career. Today, he is well known as a politician, businessperson, bodybuilder, film producer, director and super star. He is a strongly self-motivated person, having the necessary determination to accomplish everything he wants in life. For sure, looking back at his life we are going to realize that we can learn many things, being a great example for anyone. In case that you think that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s life was great, you are about to find out that it was not like this. Only his will to succeed made him to reach the greatness. Yesterday, a Hollywood super hero turns today into a great Governor of California.

A flash back Besides his Christian name, Arnold was addressed by his nick name, Austrian Oak during his bodybuilding days. Arnold was born to Gustav Schwarzenegger and Aurelia Jadrny in a tiny village called Thal which is in Austria. Right from a very young age, he was determined to achieve something big and get rich as he did not wish to be an ordinary man. If he misbehaved or disobeyed his parents, he would be punished. His father considered him to be a disobedient person.

Arnold’s Bodybuilding days and acting career When Arnold chose bodybuilding as his career, Steve Reeves was his greatest inspiration. Due to a new rule enforced in the year 1965 that all 18 year old males should serve in the Austrian army, Arnold joined to fulfill his service after which he won the junior Mr. Europe title. The turning point in life was when he won the Mr. Universe title which was the gateway to enter the land of opportunities, America. Arnold’s strong accent was a barrier to his acting after he moved to the U.S. At the age of 23, Arnold was the youngest bodybuilder to win the Mr. Olympia title. He has the honor of winning it seven consecutive times.

Personal Life Arnold Schwarzenegger was married with an English woman, Barbara Outland Baker. Anyway, the cultural and mentality differences separated them and as a result, in 1974, they get divorced and both of them continued their lives. After few years, Arnold Schwarzenegger remarried to Maria Shriver, President J.F. Kennedy’s niece. They have four children.

His Acting Career After 1970, Arnold Schwarzenegger was asked to play in Hercules and he accepted. After this debut, as he enjoyed acting, he accepted many roles in different movies. Of course, all of them were searching for heroes, role that Arnold Schwarzenegger was able to successfully perform. Some of these great movies are The Villain, Stay Hungry, Long Good Bye and many others. After these roles, he accepted to perform the role of Conan the Barbarian, which was a huge success. As well, he also starred in Terminator, still considered a great movie. After these remarkable successes, he played even more great characters in movies such as The Running Man, Raw Deal or Commando.

Business and Political Arnold Schwarzenegger has begun a partnership with Franco Columbu, a bodybuilder fellow. After this profitable partnership, he also opened a restaurant Schatzi on Main at Santa Monica. He sold the restaurant back in 1998 and today he runs some small businesses.

Politician: Arnold Schwarzenegger was elected as the 38th Governor of California.
