There are three major video game consoles in the market today and these are Microsoft’s Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii. There are several points wherein these three game consoles differ. Among the three, Wii is the smallest and the lightest. It also is the cheapest among the three, and is one of the reasons why it outsells the other two platforms worldwide.

In terms of processing power, many believe the PlayStation 3 is the clear winner, since it uses Cell architecture. Xbox 360′s processor uses a 3.2 GHz PowerPC tri-core while Nintendo Wii comes with a Broadway chip which runs at 729 MHz only.

Sony’s console also has the edge in terms of graphics and audio, but many gamers believe that the Xbox 360 makes better use of its resources that PlayStation. Both systems are HDTV-capable and can support Dolby Surround, while Wii can only support EDTV format and stereo surround.

What Wii lacks in processing speed, graphics, and audio, it makes up by offering very interactive and fun games that appeal to hardcore and casual gamers, non-gamers, and lapsed gamers. Wii also became popular because of the new way of interacting with the game provided by the same console. Wii Sports and Mario Kart on Wii are two of the best-selling items on the Nintendo platform. The most sough-after video game franchises are Gran Turismo for PlayStation 3 and Halo 3 for Xbox 360.

A number of online communities and websites have been created for Wii enthusiasts so tips, hints, strategy guides can be shared and discussed. The easiest way to find these resources is to use the search engine. A number of these websites will even teach you on how to backup Wii games. Making a backup of Wii games is a common practice among gamers to prevent total loss in case the original disc for the game gets scratched, becomes unusable, or misplaced. In the past, for you to backup your Wii games, you had to modify the hardware of the console itself, which apart from being complicated, would void the warranty. One method on how to backup Wii games easily is to utilize the EasyBackupWizard application. Your regular PC or Mac often does not have the disc drive capable of reading a Wii gaming disc, but with EasyBackupWizard, you can have such functionality. The backup file can be stored in your PC or Mac’s hard drive or burned onto another disc for your own use.

EasyBackupWizard reviews are generally positive because it is simple to use and fast. Gamers who sent in EasyBackupWizard reviews also like the fact that the application can be used to make copies of games from other platforms and that they can also burn video DVDs with such program.

Creating backups of Wii games is essential so you will still have a copy you can use in the event the original game disc is scratched, unusable, or misplaced.
