Comedy is a part of everyone’s life and no one wants to miss out some of the happiest moments of life. Movies tend to deliver or refresh some memorable moments in most humans life when they watch some movie. People of all ages love to watch comedy movies. The Dukes, written and directed by Robert Davi, is a good comedy film, making people to enjoy and laugh for nearly 100 minutes. The film delivers everything it intended to do and I am sure you can sit back and enjoy the movie for 100 minutes. If you ever have a chance to watch it, do not miss it.
Danny and George were among the members of the Doo Wop band group. They were passionate about their performance and they struggle a lot to make others feel their presence. MTV represents the modern world and these two performers dream to present them in MTV world. However, they work as employees of a restaurant and they often work in all places where they get work.
As they do not have a steady job, they work in restaurants and other places where they get a job. Since, their desire is very high, they need more money to fulfill their desires. Therefore, they start doing activities that are wrong under the law. Increasing their crime rate makes them the most wanted in the city and they never bother about it.
George has a son and he finds it very difficult to manage a good relationship with his son. His son is in need of some money for his dental expenses. George tries to arrange the money his son needs and he also wants to be a good role model for his son. His son never knows that his father is a burglar. The manager of the Doo Wop band tries something with his performers and that does not work that good.
Looking at the characters of the movie, some award-winning actors made their presence feel a lot. Chazz Palminteri, nominated for Oscar plays the role of George, one of the Doo Wop band performers. Peter Bogdanovich, writer, director, producer and actor plays the role of the Manager Lou for the Doo Wop band. The director and writer of this movie Robert Davi plays the role of Danny, another Doo Wop band performer. Though the movie runs for 100 minutes, it seems to run more quickly. Making comedy with crime action is quite difficult but the director has managed to deliver a worthy film to his audience.
