When we talk of Cannes Film Festival how Bollywood can be left behind? This time many of our stars were to be a part of it. But for the newly wedded couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan this was their first festival which they are celebrating together. After getting married, the newly wedded couple Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai made their walk on the red carpet at Cannes.

Aishwarya Rai has been a part of this festival for quite sometime. She mainly use to come along with Preity Zinta but this the scenario was different as she walked down the red carpet as Mrs Aishwarya Bachchan along with hubby Abhishek Bachchan, who himself is a renowned Bollywood superstar.

It was the special moment, indeed, not just for the couple but for the entire film fraternity as they made their first appearance together after their marriage which was held on 20th April this year at Amitab Bachchan’s bungalow ‘Prateeksha’. Aishwarya looked pretty in her silver fish cut evening gown.

But the two gave a royal ditch to director Mani Ratnam at Cannes. They did not stay for their premier of their film Guru despite Ratnam’s persistent request. A sources close to filmmaker says that Abhishek and Aishwarya had some other plans and they were flying out the day when Guru was being premiered at Cannes.

Apparently, the couple believes that they are long done with the film and any publicity exercise at this point will not serve any purpose. This is a pleasure trip for both of them and especially for Aishwarya Bachchan as she has made her trip after long time, after marriage. Obviously, she didn’t want to think about work. Aishwarya Bachchan has already interrupted her honeymoon for her earlier commitments to a product advertisement.
