Great Winter 2010 Television Series To Enjoy

By Jordan Leach

With a new season of winter television upon us, it’s time to find a few shows to watch on a weekly basis. You may be thinking that there isn’t much good programming on television, but that’s not the case.

It’s out there, but you simply have to dig a little deeper for it. Through my research, I stumbled onto a couple of TV shows that haven’t exactly caught on yet, even though the shows themselves are highly enjoyable.

The following shows are ones that I’d recommend tuning into. Give these a chance and you’ll likely be amused.

The best original programming might be on ABC right now if we’re talking about sitcoms. I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Better Off Ted, but this show is a winner. Taking place in a corporate setting, it pokes fun at all of the nuances that come with office life.

The humor is really smart, and many compare it to the writing style of Arrested Development. If you’re in the mood for a smart comedy, tune into this show.

If you’re looking for a drama series worth watching, then give Men of a Certain Age a chance. This show airs weekly on TNT, and stars Ray Romano, who rose to fame on the success of Everybody Loves Raymond.

The acting is superb here, and the story lines are really interesting. This might be the best new series on TV right now.

Lastly, these shows are more well known at this point, but both Jersey Shore and The Real World on MTV provide an entertaining dose of reality drama if you get a kick out of this genre. You’ll never know what happens next with each crew, as every week is full of unexpected action.
