Need Help With How To Level A Mage? Read This

By Mark Mananite

Are you interested in how to level a Mage? If so, you may want to first find out what the Mage is all about and what you can expect.

The Mage is a staple to any MMORPG, they are a ranged class that deals heavy damage from a distance but are very weak and mana dependent. They do have a lot of fun spells though like polymorph, which turns enemies into sheep, the ability to summon temporary water elementals and conjure up food and water.

But lets get to the meat of the issue now of how to level a Mage. Basically as a Mage, you’re either going to level with fire or frost. If you want to level fast though, it’s best to go frost.

When you begin leveling, you’re basically going to be using Frostbolt over and over until your enemy gets too close for comfort, at which point you will finish them off with a Cone of Cold or with your wand. That should be sufficient to get you up to level 40.

After that though, you’re going to want to change over to something more like casting Frostbolt multiple times, then casting Ice Nova and finishing with one last Frostbolt. That will get you through to level 60.

From level 60 to 80 things will get a bit more complicated. You will begin by casting Ice Barrier then cast Summon Water Elemental and have him attack the enemy. After that, just Frostbolt the enemy again, cast Cone of Cold and finish with an Ice Lance.

That’s about all you need to know to get yourself up to level 80. You can go down the fire tree instead if you wanted, however keep in mind it’s not as fast.

If after all this you’re still wondering how to level a Mage, you can find out some more information by studying a more detailed Mage guide.
