Today I am going to be speaking about the differences between Playtech and Microgaming. These are both software providers for online casinos and they are two of the biggest players.
The type of software that online casinos use influences their games a lot, they go to a software provider to get it. If lots of casinos use the same sort of software, the game play experience at every one is going to be very alike.
These casinos even look exactly the same; the only noticeable distinguishing factor is their individual logos. However there is sometimes a more important difference between them, some have really good customer support and fast payout times.
Individual casinos however are not the focuses of this article, I wasn’t to focus on Microgaming and Playtech casinos as a whole and the differences between them, especially with regards to roulette. The first difference I am going to point out is the fact that Microgaming have more versions of roulette games available than Playtech.
Most Playtech casinos offer French, European and American roulette and that’s all. Microgaming offer two versions of the French and European game as well as American roulette.
There is also a jackpot game on offer at the majority of Microgaming casinos, this is basically where you place on chip on each spin, and if the same number keeps hitting you win the jackpot. The table limits are also generally higher than Playtech casinos’ limits.
Table limits are the amount you can bet on each spin. I’ve found that most Playtech casinos have a limit of 300 but some Microgaming casinos will let you go as high as 2000. One advantage that Playtech casinos have is the game play is much quicker.
You are able to turn off the graphics at Playtech casinos, enabling you to obtain up to 200 spins in one minute; Microgaming can only reach 30 however. This factor is attractive to many players due to the patience and amount of spins involved.
To conclude I feel that Microgaming and Playtech casinos are just as good as each other.
