The following 3 days were all regarding shooting! Bruce’s stylist, Alevtina from Russia, their self a former model and Make Up Artist Ana from Romania, got care of Sundal, the model for the day. On the initial day of shooting, we all shot each ‘look’ in a different component of the house using only available light, with your lessons co-workers helping out together with reflectors. The day challenged a number of assumptions I could have made about whether or not there was ‘not sufficient light’! When you are in a 60th at f2.8 and the multimeter is still letting you know that you’re going to be underexposed, Bruce’s answer is to be able to ‘make’ some light! Catching some windowpane light on the floor with a big reflector and then selecting that light track of another reflector and bouncing it back onto the scene had been as simple as it had been ingenious. Tiny techniques similar to this, allied to Bruce’s distinctive style of shooting educated and entertained almost all the delegates about the course.

The next day was cloudy and saw us bouncing light from the variety of studio flash heads throughout the amazing main hall of Hampton Court Residence, in most cases, almost everywhere except entirely on the model. Again, the emphasis was much more about supplementing accessible light to create the required ambience. Our own model Kate went through four different looks, each fitting in with the grandeur and elegance of the environment.

On the ultimate day of shooting, our own model was Lois and our own stylist was Angel, while Ana remained on hand with regard to hair and make up. We all shot three very different and exclusive looks in two different parts of the house. As just before, Bruce started each and every session with a demonstration shoot, enabling the team members to see exactly how Lois responded to Bruce’s path. Each assign then had their session, aided by a colleague from the course whether with reflectors or just moving a lens or perhaps new CF card.

Right after three days of shooting, three different models and four appears per day, the team had plenty of images to be able to sub change. The program was a great opportunity to shoot fashion in an amazing location with somebody that after Thirty years in his area, still looks after a passion and passion for what he does and sharing it with others. The program delegates were great company and diverse inside their backgrounds and pursuits which resulted in we were able to learn from each other. Even though each set was the same, no one produced the exact same picture!

Would you say the course will have a great return on your investment?

Having performed this course, I might have no anxieties about putting a staff together, choosing the correct location and getting the pictures I want regarding my client…I just need to discover the clients who desire that level of enter! I’m sure they’re available!!

There is so much to absorb as well as making certain you made your better of the time in the place and with the models, I believe that anything more is for another program.

How will that change your business regarding the future?

I’m aiming to set up a studio this summer and portraits with a ‘fashion’ edge for them is definitely something that is going to be on the menu!
