The third largest sized city in Arizona, Mesa has a bunch of recreational activities that must be tried by any visitor. If you are sick and tired with going through the standard tourist activity of walking, sight-seeing, shopping and eating, then Mesa is the best place for you with its numerous physically-inducing activities. Always make sure to give yourself and your family members at least a full day for each of these locations for a full experience.
Through the months of May to September, it is great to take advantage of the waters of the Salt River for you and your wife and kids to go tubing down its waters. Tubing down the Salt River is a tradition in Mesa specifically because it does not have any beaches. You will have approximately 2 to 6 hours of floating along the river, depending on where you started off, for a rent of only $15 per tube. It is highly recommended that you hop on a weekday as Saturdays and Sundays are very congested and could even be riotous.
To get to the river, take the Beeline Highway 87 going towards Fountain Hill, passing via Shea Boulevard to Saguaro Lake turnoff, take right and after that you are heading to the Salt Lake River Tubing. Seeing that this could take almost a 10 mile drive is sure that you get your vehicle checked at any of the Mesa Auto Repair shops just before going to the river.
Second on the checklist is a trip to the Stratum Laser Tag. Here, you can safely shoot your acquaintances with a laser gun inside a tag arena. You will not need any distinctive equipment as this will be provided when you go for a session.
Players are provided with a vest containing specific shooting target areas as they roam the massing 13,000 square foot laser tag arena. Up to 60 people could play at any with time for a game of 20 twenty minutes. There are 15 different levels with towers, bridges and ramps so there are numerous rooms to maneuver and develop a plan. After each performance, you will be given a score sheet of your rank, the number of times you were hit and the hits that you have done. Apart from the tag arena, there is also an arcade and a grocery store.
In the Fighter Combat International, you can take your shot at becoming a pilot as you man your own plane into the skies. Situated at the Williams Gateway Airport in Mesa, you can move through air stunts without having any former flying experience. You will be zooming with a professional pilot as you select which among the various flying menu you would hope to encounter. You can opt for the aerobatic stunts or work with an air combat maneuvering in which you will discover the concepts associated with aerial aerobatic combat. This is surely not a simulation! Associated with a second ‘pilot’ you will be involved in addition to your instructions, in an aerial ‘combat!’
An experience invigorating as this doesn’t come at a cheap cost-save up $450 for the Power and Super Rides and $750 for Air Combat Missions. This does not consist of a bargain but is indeed an experience of a lifetime. In the end, how many of the men and women you know have indeed flown a plane, much less a combat plane?
