Brightens That Smile Without Spending Much Money

By Luisa Flora

Although you cannot realistically compare the effectiveness of a dentist office procedure like the way Richmond Dentist would effectively do to an at home remedy, you still can find a lot of ways of whitening your teeth that doesn’t cost much. Here are easy ways to whiten your teeth in your very own home the natural way as well as how to steps to use them and in fact your dentist may agree on these methods.

1. Baking Soda Baking soda is perhaps one of the most commonly used at home remedies for whitening teeth. It was utilized by many people for oral hygienic purposes even back during the 18th century. It is abrasive when dissolved in water; baking soda scrapes the stains off teeth that result from wear, eating, etc. The result is brighter and cleaner teeth prepared to display that smile and flaunt that teeth!

Simply brush your teeth with baking soda as you regularly would. To increase its effectiveness, you can combine baking soda with water and a small amount of salt in order, if desired. This approach, while commonly thought to be risk-free, should be used occasionally possibility of wearing off or the tooth enamel will become thinner because of the abrasiveness of the baking soda.

2. Hydrogen Peroxide Hydrogen peroxide is another affordable and common approach for whitening teeth. Its availability is wide and can be purchased over the counter in all leading drugstore without hassle. Hydrogen peroxide works by penetrating the enamel and bleaching the underlying layer over a period of time because of its strong oxidizing properties that makes it a powerful bleaching agent.

Hydrogen Peroxide solution can be gargle for a couple of minutes but make sure you don’t ingest the solution. After you gargle, thoroughly rinse your mouth with water. You may also rub your teeth with the solution, using a cotton ball or something similar, if you find this easier and safer. Take note that the Hydrogen Peroxide sold over-the-counter may not be as concentrated as in other teeth whiteners and that this may decrease its effectiveness but patience is virtue.

3. Strawberries Believe it or not, strawberries also make rather effective teeth whiteners as their seeds are abrasive and they contain natural teeth whitening agents. But be careful because you’re dealing with a weak acid, this is another method that can thin out tooth enamel if used excessively so use it in moderation.

Use a soft toothbrush and spread the mixture of mash ripe strawberry together with teaspoon of baking soda on your teeth and leave for five minutes, no longer. Afterwards, brush with toothpaste that has fluoride like you normally would..

The next time you’re tempted to invest in an expensive tooth whitening system, put your credit card away and use these cheaper methods to naturally whiten your teeth like performed by a good dentist like Dentist Richmond.
