Preventing Hearing Loss

Myth: Hearing loss comes with old age. Young people don’t lose their hearing unless they were born with that deficiency.

Truth: Although it may be true that hearing loss condition is more common to old people than young people, young people may still lose their hearing if they abuse their ear or if they don’t care for it properly. Cleaning the ear the wrong way may damage the inner or middle ear and that could lead to some serious damage. Head phones may also cause hearing deficiency. Bumping your head may cause hearing deficiency. Anyone can suffer this regardless of the age.

Myth: It is necessary to clean the ears every day. Otherwise, the earwax will build up and that is really unhygienic.

The custom molded one is the most expensive because it is made especially for you. You have to go to your audiologist to have this one made.
