Wow! Did you see that woman’s hair? She must be a movie star. Probably you are right. A movie star has far more money than we do to spend on specialized hair treatments than most of us do. It kind of is a bummer though, after seeing such a nice ‘do’ to go look in the mirror and see how your hair looks. Pretty depressing isn’t it? Lets look at a few reasons that this may be the case.
So why are non-movie stars less prone to dry, dull hair? Well, perhaps they dry their hair less often, and they don’t perm as much either.
Also, there are many shampoos and conditioners that have vitamins, minerals and nourishment’s in them to help get our hair back to the way it was intended to be.
So what are some things that cause your hair to look dry, dull, and on the whole, rather unexciting? Well exposure to the elements, as well as lots of exposure to the chlorine in a swimming pool will cause things to deteriorate.
Did you know that there is a protective coating on each hair strand called the cuticle? Excessive combing of the hair can wear that protective coating off, leaving the hair dry and unprotected.
Did you every notice that your hair is super strong? That’s because of the cuticles that your hair was designed with. The cuticle acts almost like an armor protecting your hair so it stays bright and healthy.
So what are some other ways that cause damage? Well, lots of hair treatments for one. Another few things are incessant straightening, curling, blow drying, and coloring. If you are applying any major source of heat to your hair, you will probably have trouble in the long run.
There are many places that sell shampoos and conditioners that have moisturizers that damaged hair needs. There are also vitamins that can be added to hair treatments to make them better.
