When it comes to applying mineral foundation, it is best to apply it with a kabuki brush and it is usually buffed into the skin in layers for the best look. A kabuki brush is one that has been packed very densely and because of this it can give you better coverage. There are mineral makeup packs that you can buy that will come with the makeup and the brushes that you need.

When applying mineral foundation, you should swirl the brush into the makeup and tap off any excess makeup back into the pot. You can then use circular buffing or downward motions to brush the makeup into your face.

Some people prefer to use fluffy brushes to apply their mineral makeup because they tend to give you greater value in terms of makeup. This type of brush will give you fantastic coverage while only using a small amount of makeup.

A lot of people prefer to wet their mineral makeup before applying it. To do this you will have to mix the mineral foundation with your moisturiser or water until you have a creamy liquid. You then only need downward strokes to apply it. It is possible to use a sponge instead if you want; to do this just dampen your sponge and then dip it into your mineral makeup and apply it that way.
