What Makes A Good Eye Liner

By Vanessa Mortley

We do not have to wear make-up in order to look good, and some of the times a energising face looks better than one that’s dressed to the nines. All the same I do empathize the need to have a little enhancement on your face just to give it that little extra something, whether it’s your favorite lip gloss or a great eye liner. Eyes are the window to the soul and sometimes eye shadow can over complicate your look if you prefer to look natural and casual, that’s why we always prefer the liner as it can heighten our eyes without making them look too made up. Nevertheless, this can hinge upon whether or not you have bought a good pencil or a bad one, and sometimes the results of this can be more than just a bad makeup day.

As we go to put something on our face, specially in our eyes we want to be sure that the product is safe to use and that we won’t react with any of the contents used in the pencil. When it comes to eye makeup it is difficult to ensure that we have bought the right one, so we must always test it out in advance. Makeup retailers always have testers accessible for us to use and try, and if we use our fingers to test it out there is no need to worry about germs or bacteria. Never put a tester in your eye when trying to find a good eye liner, otherwise you just might end up reacting to something. If our skin doesn’t react then there’s a good probability that it will be ok to use on our eyes, however shop around and see what else you can find as well.

Additional factor to consider when buying a eye pencil is the enduringness of the liner and if it is going to rub off easily. Once more, use a tester and draw on your hand the same way and density you would when you are applying it to your eye. Try to blur the liner and see what happens. If you like the smokey eye look and it isn’t smudging then it likely is not right for you. If you want a nice liner that won’t smudge and it isn’t, then that is probably the kind you should consider buying.

Eye liners also come in all types of colors which can be amusing when dressing up and going out with your friends. There are all sorts of fantastic colors that you can buy to match your getups or to express whatever type of mood you may be in at the time. Whatever the juncture, a different color could be just what you need to get the day started. Remember though, when purchasing a different color to be sure to test it our first, even if the liner is just for fun or a one time occasion. You don’t want to buy the incorrect kind and have a response.

Eye liner is a great accessory for our everyday activities and allows us to shine when we might be feeling down. The different colors allows for a more subtle look during the day and a much more dramatic look at night time if that is what you wish. Makeup that is being applied to your eye should be purchased with some thought behind it to ensure your eyes do not get infected.
