How You Can Advertise Your Business Using Advertising Balloons

By John Swartz

Balloons are some of the least expensive promotional items you can buy. This makes them a great tool that you can use to market your business. Your product or service doesn’t have to have anything to do with balloons to use this promotional item because balloons are universally loved by pretty much everyone. Here are some ways to promote your business using advertising balloons.

Put them out in front of your store. This works especially well if you are having some sort of special sale. You can fill the balloons with helium and attach them to the sale sign in front of your building. Make sure you check on them and replace them when they start to sag.

Kids love balloons, so another way to use them to promote your business is to give them to the children of your customers. Kids love to walk around with balloons in their hands, but it is better to tie them around the child’s wrist with a slipknot. This reduces the chances that the child will lose the balloon and have it fly away. Don’t give balloons to very young children. Children under the age of three could choke on the rubber if the balloon pops.

Balloons are a natural for parades. Most towns have at least two or three parades each year. Have someone walk in the parade and pass out balloons with your company name on them. You will need to have a whole bunch of balloons made up ahead of time so you don’t run out. You can attach them in bunches to a wagon or float and remove the bundles as needed.

You can easily mail balloons to your customers in an envelope to your clients, but you need to be clever about it. After all, what’s the big deal about receiving a balloon in the mail? Try to think of a clever slogan or sale theme that goes along with balloons and use the balloons not only as a gift but to illustrate your sale.

Balloons can be used in displays inside of your store to draw attention to specials. A bunch of balloons here or there will make your customers take notice of your specials. You don’t want to overdo this, however. Too many balloons will make it difficult for your customers to find what they are looking for.

When you give a kid a balloon at the fair, you are potentially exposing hundreds of people to your advertising message, so make sure it is effective. ‘Smith Brothers’ doesn’t tell anyone what kind of business you are in. If someone reads that on a balloon, they won’t remember it because they have no clue what you do. If your line of business isn’t clear from your company name, add a three or four-word phrase that tells what you do.

Advertising balloons come in many shapes and sizes, but you don’t need a big, expensive balloon to make a big impression. Remember how excited you were as a child when someone gave you a helium balloon? Making a child’s day is sure to win points with the parents as well, which can influence their decision to do business with you and improve your bottom line.

Take advantage of the benefits of advertising balloons. Find custom balloons for those business and get the word out to everyone. Go online to look for those balloons now.
