Along the South Coast of Britain is Brighton which makes up part of the City of Brighton & Hove. It was originally called Brighthelmston back in 1086 (time of the Domesday Book) and later became known as a health resort around the time of the Domesday Book (1086). In 1841 when the railway arrived it quickly became a major destination for Day-Trippers.
If you are considering buying a property in Brighton, then here is an outline of what it can offer you?
Economy: The city enjoys around eight million tourists each year, has a thriving Business Conference industry which the three main political parties use, two universities and a medical school.
Brighton’s Location: Brighton’s location means that you only have to drive for a short time to be either up on the Downs – a visit to Devils Dyke has spectacular views across the Sussex countryside or in the heart of beautiful countryside where you will discover local pubs and other areas of interest.
The Marina: If Brighton centre is not your thing, then consider buying a property at Brighton Marina approximately 10 minutes along the coast road. The Marina is a thriving centre with restaurants, a cinema and a bowling alley. Properties vary in size and shape and many look over the moorings of hundreds of boats.
Travelling out of Brighton: If you work in London or regularly need to fly out of the UK on business then Brighton offers you the chance to commute with ease. A train to London Victoria will take you about an hour or if it is Gatwick that you need, then you can be there in about half an hour. Alternatively if you decide to drive then the A23/M23 offers a straight forward route in to the heart of London.
Brighton Beaches: Brighton Beach is proud to have the Blue Flag status and although its beaches are shingle they turn to quickly turn to sand when going in to the sea. The seafront is made up of many bars, restaurants and night clubs which can be found mainly between the two piers. Because of its easy access from London by train in just over an hour, it is popular with day-trippers, tourists and even nudists who have their own beach in the south easterly part of Kemptown.
Whether you are a family, a sailing enthusiast or a student, Brighton can offer you a property to suit you.
