Although those who like letters are usually good at numbers too, some people will be biased to one set of games or the other.

Naturally, one absolutely necessary book needed by people who are interested in language should have, and that is a great dictionary. Not only will they be able to double check that they have the spelling right, they will also be able to study those that they do not. A thesaurus is also a great book that any self respecting crossword puzzle enthusiast will need to look up different categories that they may require. This gives alternatives for every item that is used will assist in widening the scope of the language.

Even scrabble players will find it necessary when challenging other players. Indeed, looking up meanings that the opponents have used is a great way to add scope to what is probably a narrow knowledge of the language. The difference is that other people will have their own idea of what a good phrase or saying is. By interacting with them, through games, more and more difficult meanings and phrases are learned.
