One should spend money wisely especially during this time of economic recession. One needs to be mindful of how to spend less without having to buy less, but more. Here is one beneficial hint that can help you make the most out of the small marketing budget you have for business promotion: use assorted freebies for corporate promotion.

Since assorted freebies are inexpensive, one may think that it has low impact on the market. But on the contrary, statistics say that custom items heighten brand recall on an optimum level as they are seen by numerous consumers on a daily basis. You just have to find a customized giveaway that best reflects your brand identity and that is well loved by the patrons so that they will use it all the time.

This nugget of idea may seem to be rubbish and stupid but only for those who lack imagination. For instance, how can an umbrella with a tagline that swears “we’ve got you covered” have a low effect on the market? What if the organization is an insurance company? Isn’t it a highly clever trick? You see, the firm just has to package the freebies right such that it represents the company perfectly. All it takes is a catchy and outstanding method of packaging that will catch everyone’s eye.

But always consider to give it away wisely. Handing it out to every person you meet is a terrible idea. Hand them out to people who are high-ranking so that they can just pass their knowledge about your company as they please. Set a limit to the number of people you will be handing out the freebies to leaders, artists, bosses, etc. Keep in mind, you only have a small budget so you have to be smart even to the littlest detail. It is also a good notion to hand out them personally so that you can get a greater impact.

If you deem that since everyone has joined the bandwagon, you better join as well, think again. Good advertising is about going against the flow and setting your business apart from others. Do not use the ordinary branding methods such as billboards, print ads, and radio ads. Go for something different and state-of the art. Squeeze all your creative juices and it will surely bring your brand to towering heights.
