A lot of people who write often wonder how to get published. They feel that it may be hard. They also really don’t know too much about the business of publishing. If you want to write a book, then choose to self publish books. There is a lot to learn and people should be educated on the topic so they can write and get published.

Like mentioned early, traditional publishing can be a little difficult. If a publisher likes what you’re writing, then you will likely be accepted. If they don’t think your writing has potential, then they will choose not to publish you. This is the old way of things. People should take the rare opportunity and work for themselves.

There is a lot of benefits when it comes to publishing this way. First off, you will own the rights to your work. You don’t have to worry about someone else owning them or dictating to you what will happen to them. The next benefit is that you can choose where your book is sold.

One of the most controversial things an author has to deal with revolves around money. When a book gets sold, the author, editor and publisher has to be paid. Because of this, the money must be divided. Most publishers pay the author 10% royalties and they get the rest. When you do it yourself it’s different. Most of the money goes to you when you sell.

If you want to market your work, you can do it anyway you choose. You can make a book trailer or arrange a book signing in your hometown. You can even make a website and market that way. Also remember that since you are publishing yourself, the marketing is your call and their is no limit.
