What would it be like if your company had an unlimited supply of power and electricity? Certainly the first thing to come to mind is all of the money you would save from not having to pay an electric company. Besides money, you would probably think of the positive impact on the environment an unlimited power supply would have. If you were to make an investment in a solar power electricity system for you company, then this fantasy can be a lot closer to reality.

1. Obtain a list of service providers that have been approved by the public utility commission in your state. Getting quotes from only electric utilities on this list will reduce your chance of problems down the road. Electric utilities approved and registered by the public utility commission must have good credit, fair billing practices, and safety procedures that meet the legal requirements in your area. These criteria, amongst others, must be met in order for the public utility commission to endorse the provider.

Almost any way you look at it, if your company has a solar power electricity system, your company actually has its own renewable source of energy. In many instances, you will have to face considerable initial investment costs, to transition your company’s infrastructure from its old state and function, however, you will begin to notice your profit margins steadily increasing in a relatively short amount of time. Since your old power company is subject to the ebbs and flow of the global markets, raising their rates and fees to protect their own profits, with your own power supply you can thereby liberate and protect your company from the will and whims of another. Because you will have more control over how much power you company can access and use, you would no longer have to guess or wait to see how much your periodic energy costs will be.

With a solar power electricity system in place, your company could even make extra profits, as there will likely be excess energy which other companies or homes could use. There will be opportunities to make agreements with outside power companies which will allow them to essentially purchase your excess power, which they then pass on to other homes and businesses within their network. In this manner, you could potentially make even more profit, as other businesses and families in your region could receive savings in their power bills, which, ideally, would give them more more money to spend at your business. For those companies which have invested in alternative and renewable energy, the government may even offer a variety of subsidies and tax breaks.

By making an investment in a solar power electricity system, your company will be making greater profits while also giving more back to its wider community. Even the power companies who used to make money off of you would be using the power you generate to sell to others, making money with you.
