Generate Mlm Leads With Linkedin

By Ola Abitogun

If you are like us when we first started in the MLM network marketing business, It was difficult to generate MLM leads. Its not like we do not know how or where to find these leads. The price of these leads were high. We came online. In a short period of time, we were averaging 30 leads daily.. Assuming you are talking to that many people daily, do you think your business will explode or not? Linkedin was one of the social media site that we went to.

Linkedin is dominated mostly with professionals. This social media website is filled with majority of working people. You have CEO, celebrities, teachers, recruiters, scientist all on Linkedin. From the professionalism stand point, these are the people that you desire in your Network Marketing Venture. The last people that you want in your business are the sluggish people. Otherwise, you would be running an Adult day care center.

Your credibility is enormously important on Linkedin when talking about using Linkedin to generate free of charge MLM leads. These are the “9- 5″ fill with. They are the corporate people. You should at least appear that you are worthy of their time.

Don’t operate Linkedin as a sales funnel. When you are on twitter, you can sell your business opportunity. On Facebook, you can sell your product or business opportunity. Doing this will yield you no result.. But on Linkedin, this is a “No No”. Spend time in educating people on Linkedin.

Take your time to appropriately fill out your page. The little stuff that do not matter on other social media site do matter on Linkedin. Stay away from commonly used abbreviations like “lol”. On Twitter and other Social media, you can use acronyms like that. I will not advice you to use it on Linkedin. Your picture is also very important.. Do no put up a picture of you dancing in a club. Use any of your professional looking picture. Perception carries a lot of weight on Linkedin.

You have to join groups of like minded individuals. Search for groups that are business oriented. Join Targeted groups. Why would you want to join a group of farmers on Linkedin? That will not do you any good. Look up groups for business saggy people and join it. Search for MLM companies and join their group. You also want to join groups that has many members.

With more knowledge on the using Linkedin, you would have to join groups and place educating and enlightening contents on the groups’ wall. Your verbal communication on these walls is very significant. Pay attention to your grammar as much as you can. Again, it goes back to the type of people that will be reading the content that you post on the walls. If you are wondering what you should write about; then you need to educate yourself. You should read books and listen to audio books. Use Google to educate yourself on important topics like MLM prospecting, MLM training etc. EDUCATE YOURSELF and teach whatever you have learned to others.

Recommendations is also significant on Linkedin. You need at least 3 to 5 recommendations on Linkedin. Ideally you would want the top earners of any MLM business to recommend you.But that would take forever to happen. Contact any person (they could be your downline) that would recommend you. This is about getting validated by a 3rd party, This is the same thing as the traditional three way call prospecting. The interesting part is as soon as people start benefiting from you posts, they will recommend you for others. So there is a viral effect here.

The major concept behind all these is ‘branding”. If you are like me, I get an average of 30 emails per day on Facebook and twitter of people telling me how great their product and MLM business is. It does not take me much time to press delete and delete them. STOP PITCHING YOUR BUSINESS TO OTHER PEOPLE. ADD VALUE TO PEOPLE. Educate them regularly and train them for free. They will join your primary business.
