Simple and Quick Ideas for Internet Marketers to Monetize Their Blogs

By James Steele

As someone who is trying to make money online and get involved in Internet Marketing you probably already have a blog. You may have set it up so that you could expose your business to the public and create new relationships with possible new clients. Why not use your blog as a resource for making money? Even though most people only view blogging as a means for earning a full time income, it is also a wonderful way to get passive or supplemental income. In this article, we will describe some of the ways in which your blog can be implemented to create a supplemental income.

Placing ads on your blog is the most common way of making money with a blog. It is possible to join many different ad networks. Most people work with Google AdSense because it is one of the easier advertisers to work with. You may even be using AdWords as a resource for getting more people to come to your website. If you do not like Adsense, there are other ways to monetize your blog. Just get the network code and put it on your blog. You get money when people click on these ads.

Establish a paid membership section on your blog. People will have to pay a monthly fee to become subscribers so they can see what you are offering in the private area. You don’t have to update the paid membership area all the time-just regularly enough to make it worth your asking price. It is critical that what you are providing in the private section is not something that is available for free elsewhere.

Another option is to take your RSS feed and monetize it. You need to take care of setting up your RSS feed right away if you don’t already have one. The majority of readers utilize RSS programs to follow blog updates because of their great portability for a number of different devices as well as their convenience. RSS monetization has been available for some time now from the bigger advertising agencies.

Put some thought into producing a paid employment board. As an online marketer, you must know lots of people who have little tasks that they do not want to do, but they might pay someone else a few dollars to do. Create a board that will allow them to advertise these jobs. You can make people pay you for board space. You earn money. They hire workers. You could possibly get more traffic. This is good for the other forms of monetization you might have in place. Everyone gets a piece of the action.

Monetizing a blog is a great way to bring in some extra money. Some people have replaced their full time income with blog monetization because they have done it so well. If you are like most, however, the money you earn will be merely supplemental to the money earned through bigger projects. On the other hand, every little bit extra is important, isn’t it?
