You have heard of people earning very nice livings with MLM network marketing, and the thought has crossed your mind on more than one occasion, that maybe it would work for you. This article will explore what being an MLM networker entails, so that you will have a better idea if it is something you would like to do.

We will begin, appropriately enough, at the beginning. What exactly is the difference between MLM and network marketing? Really, the only difference is the spelling. They are the same thing. Both terms have the implication of working with others. MLM is multi level marketing. The network, in network marketing, refers to the team you will build.

Your first level is comprised of the individuals that you personally enroll. When anyone on your first level refers someone, they would be on your second level. And, when a second level member refers others, their recruits will be on your third level, & so forth & so on. Different MLM companies cut off your organization at different points; for example, the sixth level, or the ninth level.

The thing that is so powerful about MLM network marketing is the ability it gives you to leverage the actions of others. Leverage is a wealth building concept. You can build a team of hundreds or potentially, even thousands of people, most of whom you will never meet, and make money from every purchase or sale they make.

The first thing to do is find a company that has products you adore, and that you would purchase, regardless if you were selling them, or not. This means the price has to be in the ball park of the competition, or better. Others can usually tell if you like something or if you are only pushing it to make a buck. That can have a huge effect on your ability to enroll others

One of the things that many former network marketers complain about is how some companies put a lot of pressure on their members (or actually require them) to buy a lot of products to have on stock to sell to friends. That works for some people, but most people tend to quit with closets full of products and a net loss of money. Find a company that only require a monthly purchase equal to your personal consumption, while they help you to focus on referring others.

Yes, you can sell retail if you want, but there is money to be made if everyone just uses their own products, and they can refer a few others to do the same. You have a choice for getting your MLM leads. The older methods are, recruiting family & friends, and talking to people who cross your daily path. New methods are, using internet marketing techniques to get all your MLM network marketing leads. Or, you could combine the two.
