XELR8 announced it will terminate distributors and pursue an alternative business model. The independent distributors were notified via email. This move is an example of what can happen to any network marketing company and it highlights the need to market your business using a funded proposal.
A funded proposal is basically using the marketing strategy of multiple income streams other than your MLM or primary home based business. To some of the XELR8 reps this termination is devastating and unfortunate news. To those who use a funded proposal, they will be able to continue marketing through affiliate campaigns.
Using a funded proposal is smart marketing. It allows you to use the money you make from affiliate programs to fund the marketing of your business, hence the term “funded proposal”. There are many ways to market any home based business. It is recommended to use this funded proposal strategy online in the event of a crisis or closure of a company. Using this strategy, your entire business, your livelihood is not entirely dependent upon the success, failure or the decisions of management of your company.
The management at XELR8 will make an announcement in February on several factors concerning the company. Between now and then you need to determine how you will move forward with your marketing.
Here’s how you can be prepared to work in any business so that a move like this is transparent to you. 1. Become a part of marketing system which includes an automatic funded proposal (one you do not have to market) as it is done for you.
2. Join a system that allows you to customize your company website to allow you to brand yourself and not the company (which can change directions at any time).
3. Use a system which will teach you the proper training you need to learn how to market your business successfully online and offline.
4. Learn how to brand yourself and naturally introduce you MLM or home based business to potential prospects and customers.
Although the news concerning XELR8 is not positive take lessons from this announcement and learn to market your business the right way. Always have multiple sources of income and learn to market you first and then your company.
