Email Marketing And The Importance Of Taking Action
Direct marketing is a little different from advertising. Email marketing campaigns, just like direct marketing, is characterized by encouraging the potential customer to take action.
Naturally, email marketing is quicker to provoke an action in the receiver because of its interactive nature. The response from the receiver is immediate.
Responses the potential customers give to email marketing are expressed by clicking on a link within the text or an image that is included in the message. The receiver is also given information in case he or she wants to talk to a business representative to know more about a certain product or have the vendor call back.
Email marketers have developed a series of techniques to persuade customers to click on links or send emails.
Even when the proposed action is implicit, the user should be encouraged to move as soon as possible to the action. For this email marketing uses words or forms of action. Here we find a well-known phenomenon of online advertising by which the presence of mention of the type “click” on a banner advertisement can increase the rate of clicks, while of course the audience knows that the image is clickable.
Marketers can choose from an array of action words that would encourage potential customers to seek more information.
Clicking is everything in an email marketing campaign. Marketers want their customers or receivers of the information to click in the different links in the text. For this purpose, it is the job of the marketer to make sure that the links are easy to follow and prompt the site that contains the information they want.
Studies have shown that people are more susceptible to click to links inside texts than to click on images. Email marketing campaigns can use this to their advantage and add more links within texts than other types of attractors. Links must lead the customer to a description about your product, to your company’s website and it should not involve too many steps.
Email marketing campaigns should use links to text or websites when they include a good amount of text in them.
There are a set of techniques to encourage people to click and find more information about a certain product or a business. An accelerator can be a gift given to the first ones to click on an ad or before a certain deadline.
