One question always seems to crop up when people discuss the art of marketing online. The question asked is the age old one about “Is email list building still important today as it was in the early days of internet marketing? And if so is it still as powerful a tool as it once was?” How feasible is this means of marketing online?

Yes list building was a very good tool to promote goods in the early years of the internet but that was a long time ago.

So the question still remains that now with all the advancement in new technology is it still a successful way to be able to market and is it still a powerful technique to use?

Some internet marketers still believe that building a mailing list is still a good solid way to promote their products and services online.

You could say that the main advantage of building email lists that you can use is that it is a great way to get to know your potential customers and get them to trust you. By being trustworthy you are more likely to convince people that the products and services that you are selling will really benefit them in some way.

Studies have shown believe it or not that people seem to forget a lot quicker than they used too. This means that if you do not keep reminding them of your products they may well forget about you. Your email list is a great way for you to keep jogging their memory.

Many people like to have as much information as they can handle when checking out potential purchases. This is why the RSS readers have become so popular. If you are able to give them all the information they need by email then you may be on to a winner and a possible sale which is good for business.

So the email list is not quite dead in the water just yet. There are still some advantages to this way of advertising on the internet.
