If, you like being on the ocean or any waterway sailing could be for you. The sound of the water slapping against the side of the boat and the smell of the ocean is a great combination. So, you can enjoy the experience you need to obtain certification from a New Jersey boating safety school.

Here a student gets hands on training surrounding the proper procedures to obtain a certificate. Title discovery, proper registration procedures, what pieces of equipment are needed, and how to use it. The accountability of the person in charge and security precautions taken. There are various places to gain the training to be certified.

Once you receive this certificate, you do not have to get it renewed each year, because unlike a license, it never expires. Anyone who intends to navigate a boat must get a certificate and must have it on him or her whenever they operate a boat. It is the law in the state of New Jersey.

However, there are age requirements to consider in operating certain types of vessels. Unlike, the open sea, a person must have a boat license and a certificate to operate a vessel in non tidal water. Non tidal water means the tide remains the same.

The classes are two night sessions or a one day class, and they must be attended in person. A NJ boat license is not a replacement for a safety certificate. They are not the same thing. Obtaining a boat license requires you to go to a NJ Division of Motor Vehicles, and you must provide your certificate.

The New Jersey boating safety school is set up in compliance with state laws and they follow them very closely. The intentions of the law is for the sole purpose of providing a safe environment for boaters to enjoy the waterways without injury or loss of life. new jersey boating safety school
