What Is An Independent Representative?

Independent representatives are important to network marketing companies. They will reach potential customers that other methods may not reach.

Network marketers recruit independent representatives the same way traditional companies recruit their sales force. They seek out individuals who want to represent the product or service they offer and bring them on board as independent representatives, not employees. These folks are independent of the company although they represent the goods or services offered by by the company to the marketplace.

These independent representatives are small business men and often work out of their homes. They are not limited geographically and can sell their products or services anywhere. Some advertise and sell locally while others advertise and sell on the internet to the world.

What motivates companies to use independent representatives instead of traditional advertising and sales methods? Independent representatives create networks of people who do not respond to traditional sales methods. Their networks tend to build trust with the representative which makes them much more likely to respond positively to a purchase recommendation.

These companies are willing to pay independent representatives for their work because it is generally less expensive and more productive than traditional marketing methods.

Independent representatives are trusted by the companies who hire them to evaluate their networks to determine who might be interested in the products or service they represent without hounding them. Many independent representatives are turning to Attraction marketing as the preferred method for approaching their networks.

In developing your network, you may come across others who would like to become small business men. You’re in a unique position to assist them in achieving their dream by helping them become successful small business me.

Knowledge of the necessary marketing and sales techniques necessary to succeed as well as a basic understanding of running a small business are necessary if you want to succeed.

People who enjoy working with people are usually very happy with netork marketing and find it very rewarding. However, people who don’t like working with people are advised to avoid a career in network marketing.

If you want to be your own boss you must understand that the responsibility for you success or failure will be your responsibility and your responsibility only. You must have the discipline to hold yourself accountable.

With today’s economy, working from home never made better sense. However you will have to apply the old adage “Quitters never win, Winners never quit!” if you intend to join the ranks of independent representatives.
