Advantages Of A Content Network Campaign

By David Afana

For access to the data from clients throughout the network, a content delivery network system is now in order. This network system is a system of computers, which contains copies of data placed at different points in the network. Bottlenecks can be created at the central server. For this reason content distribution network (CDN) or the content delivery network helps to offer the client in accessing required data easily near the client itself in comparison to all the clients trying to access one server.

This is considered to be one of the greatest advantages of a content network campaign. Other components of internet delivery, like database queries, routes, downloadable objects like documents, software, media files, real time media streams, applications etc. are the different types of content that one can manage. As compared to network backbone capacity the graphical location in proximity of thesum of the servers placed strategically can be higher in the system. The number of concurrent users increases as a result of this.

Traffic is redirected to edge servers by the content distribution network by offloading traffic on a backbone or a peer link. Load on backbones, private and public peers, interconnects etc. can be decreased strategically by the placement of edge servers. This helps in lowering delivery costs and freeing up capacity.

Advantages of a content network campaign are that servers are close to the edge networks that users are on and hence delivery of the content is faster when the content is closer to the user. But the best performance is not a direct result due to network distance alone.

It is according to the end to end principle that the internet was designed as it helps in keeping the core network relatively simple and effective. The internet helps in moving the intelligence to the clients and hosts, which are the network end points. It is for this reason that core network is optimized, simplified and specialized. The advantages of a content network campaign and increased reliability makes it possible for a content distribution network operator to deliver low network load, high quality service and high quality content.
