How To Create A Successful Landing Page

By George Tee

Creating a successful landing page for your business or service does not seem very easy, but it may become a cinch if you are mindful enough of the necessary techniques in driving your visitors to the single goal that you are after–their action. In the parlance of building landing pages, the business is all about getting a high conversion rate; thus, here are the simple fundamentals you must know in creating a successful landing page.

A good start is ensuring that you have a professional-looking page. This has two benefits: One, if can tell your visitors that you are serious in selling your product or service; and two, it will raise your chance of having a conversion from them. The elements of a professional-looking page are a well-planned design, choosing the best graphics, and representing a businesslike guise. Do not make texts on your page the same in size because that is ineffective. You must know when to highlight important words and provide descriptions for your images. Place together images and texts that are closely related in order to help your visitors read through the page. Providing big texts and colorful images will give flavor to your page, as well as a chance for visitors to remain there for enjoyment. Always check that your texts are flawless in terms of grammar, punctuation, syntax, and ideas.

Persuading your prospects immediately the first time they land on your page is your initial goal. For this, you need to have a title loaded with impact that builds up your service or product. A content that supplements the title is your secondary consideration. You have a good, compelling content if it is detailed, persuasive, and straight to the point. The first paragraph should tell about your product and what it can do for them, giving more impact by highlighting relevant words that can affect their emotions. Use specific, strong words, and never show or tell them about any downside in your product. Informing effectively means putting your product under the spotlight wherein it is the sole protagonist.

All products in all markets always have a warranty or service-disapproval choice. Thus, your landing page should have a part for this indicating a money-back guarantee or a return-if-unsatisfied agreement. Including a privacy policy will be also wise so that your prospects will be more comfortable in giving their personal information.

Regularly repeat important points about your product or service so that your page visitors will remember the details of what your offer. Also, reiterate to them what they should do to avail your service or product. It is a proven fact that repetition helps people remember things better. Therefore, if you keep on telling them the advantages of your product, they will completely believe in minutes, that it is really something to be had.

For you to have an extra ace in getting a conversion from every visitor, your page should have a portion for testimonials. This will include videos, audios, or messages from convinced users of your product or service. With this, your prospects will feel that they do not have anything to worry about in getting your product because others have used it already. Make sure to format every testimonial in such a way that they will appear believable to your visitors. Using photos of these approving users and enclosing messages inside quotation marks will surely do the trick.

The task of creating a landing page is equal to making a good profile of yourself, so if you are vying for a high conversion rate, remember these must-dos in creating a successful landing page.
