Article marketing is perfect as both a traffic building method and a way to get ranked well in the search engines.

Article marketing is awesome as both a traffic building strategy and a way to get ranked in the search engines. This is one of the most effective link building methods because it’s one of the few ways that you can get a significant amount of traffic along with the SEO benefits. An interesting article targeting a highly searched keyword can sometimes bring in 5 to 10 visitors or more a day to your site.

What should you do to maximize your article marketing? Only submit articles to the correct directories for their niche. It makes no sense to write a good article and then submit it to the wrong place. There are really only 4 or 5 directories that make a difference. These are Ezinearticles, Articlebase, Buzzle, Searchwarp, and a few others.

So how do you get people to read your articles? Be interesting. Make sure you include a lot of bullet points and numbered lists to break up the writing and make it easier to read the article – similar to writing a sales letter.

How to write the resource box. Make the focus be on what you can do for the reader and not on yourself. The reader doesn’t care about how great an internet marketer you are, but they do care about what your product or service can do for them. For example, if the article is about dog training, you might say something like “learn how to train your dog in 10 days or less by visiting”

The article title should be interesting enough to grab the reader’s interest so they want to see what you have to say.

Focus on getting your article published on other sites. Increasing traffic and building back links is the result of writing a good article that people will want to read.
