Get Creative In Hosting

A lot of people may think that web hosting is a one-size-fits-all type of service without a lot of options. Contrary to popular belief, website hosting is not a one-size-fits-all type of service, and every host offers its clients many different options and types of services. In reality, this is the exact opposite of the case. Many types of hosting services are available, and each set of features are meant to be beneficial for different types of client.

* Shared Hosting Plans

A shared plan places your site onto a server that hosts the sites of other customers. In some cases, there may be ten websites besides your own. In a few instances, there could be a hundred or a thousand other sites on the server. However, shared hosting is a very popular choice because it is the most economical.

* Dedicated Hosting Servers

Providing total versatility, a dedicated program is nice to have. With dedicated hosting you are in the driver’s seat and can specify everything that is installed on the server, including the operating system, software and other scripts that you need to use. You do not have to worry about taking up too much processing capability, since no other clients are on your server.

Virtual Private Server Packages

A VPS or virtual private server, gives customers all of the flexibility that is available through a dedicated solution, at a much lower cost. Separated in such a manner that your particular website shares processing space with other clients’ websites, the box makes room for all of the customers. However, the server is organized to provide an equal allocation of those resources for each client. So, the processing requirements of another client’s website does not impact your own processor space.

Packages for Resellers

If you are looking for a hosting solution that will allow you to resell hosting services to other customers or clients, then a re-seller hosting solution is right for you. Basically, the reseller is charged a monthly fee to use a certain chunk of space on a server. The reseller takes this space and divides it up to sell to his or her company’s clients. This type of plan is only suggested for someone who wants to get into the re-seller industry.

When thinking about selecting a website hosting service, you will want to examine the support, reliability, and flexibility of its features. Don’t ever just choose a host because they offer the lowest prices.
