Acer Aspire Netbook Review

Here are some useful notes that you can begin reading as you look for a more detailed Acer Aspire netbook review. Netbooks are now available in various appearances, sizes and prices. This may be good news to many, especially those who want to know the best among the cheapest brands that are available in the market these days, but this can also cause confusion to people who are really after a good brand with good specs.

To start with this brief Acer Aspire netbook review, it is a vital thing to note that the brand is recognized as the third largest manufacturer of PC in the world. The Aspire One, despite the name, can be bought in various configurations. Its most basic type and also the cheapest among all the available configurations features are an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz, with 8 GB SSD flash drive and 512 MB of RAM. This runs smoothly with the Linux operating system, but the same thing cannot be told when you prefer Windows XP to be installed on it. The types that are compatible with Windows XP are a bit bigger and heavier than the basic types. Windows version comes with six-cell battery, 1 GB of RAM and 120 GB HDD. If the basic type weight below one kilo, the upgraded models weight 1.26 kilos.

The Aspire One can be bought in various colors, such as the SeaShell White, Coral Pink, Sapphire Blue and Golden Brown. If you are a fan of the matte finish of Eee PC or the brushed metal chassis of the HP Mini, the enamel finish of the Aspire One may discourage you a bit. This kind of shiny coating of its lid makes it susceptible to scratches and fingerprints.

Its screen that measures 8.9 inches is quite attractive. The speakers are integrated at its chassis at the bottom. Although this may be neat to look at, the audio quality is not that good. When it comes to connectivity, this is only pretty average. Its Wi-Fi doesn’t extend to Draft-N. Another of its minus point is the fact that it doesn’t come with an installed Bluetooth. There are some news about future upgrades that will come off far better than this one, but for now, the Acer One can be graded as average among all its stiff competitors.

You may want to see the real thing and try managing it so that you can decide on your own. You have to make sure that you also do the same thing with the other brands that are quite similar with this one when it comes to looks, specs and, of course, the price.
