Features of the HTC Evo

By Gareth Jale

The HTC Evo has been released and is available for retail both online and in Sprint Stores. With many new features never known to man, such as 4G connection, many buyers will camp outside stores to get one.

The Sprint EVO 4G allows download speeds that are ten times quicker than 3G mobile devices. The connection is so good and so fast that many customers will find that accessing the Internet with this new technology is just as quick and easy as their DSL or cable connected service. The Sprint EVO 4G also works in 3G markets, and as you would expect from any Android phone also features more than 30,000 applications.

This new cell phone from Sprint also features a large 4.3 inch touchscreen, and is even enabled to be connected to an HDTV, offering the consumer the chance to see HD movies on their hand held mobile device. It also features not one but two different cameras. It comes with not only a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera, but also comes with an 8.0 megapixel camera as its primary picture taker. As if that wasn’t enough, it also includes “mobile hotspot capability” that will let the consumer hook up with up to eight different Wi-Fi enabled devices.

The HTC Evo is an Android 2.1 phone and includes the award winning “HTC Sense” UI, which provides a whole new level of customization, navigation, and social networking. It comes with a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and also includes GPS navigation. It also features a microSD card slot, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, and motion and proximity sensors. It also comes with a digital compass and a convenient ‘kickstand” that allows you to view media conveniently. It operates on a 1,500 mAh Li-Ion battery. Batteries are distinctively designed to offer long lasting talk and standby times and can be obtained separately through mobile phone accessory merchants.

Other accessories that are a simply must have for your device are the a case and a screen protector. Cases protect the body of the phone while still letting the user use the phone when needed. It will also protect it from accidental fall damage. A screen protector will help keep your large screen looking brand new and clean just like when you first got it. Screen protectors will protect against scratches, fingerprints, dirt, and grime.

The HTC Evo is an innovative device that is very easy to use and because of the many great features it has many tech geeks drooling over this device. With 4G capabilities and the hardware to back it, this will surely be one of the most sought after phones.
