Find Out Who Owns Any Phone Number With A Reverse Phone Lookup

By Doug Timlin

By using a reverse cell phone search you can find out someone’s full name, address and background information by having only their phone number. This can come handy in many different situations – let’s have a look to see how it is done.

As you might imagine, this type of service will usually cost a few bucks, but there is a way to get the same information for free.

With the phone number you want to get details about, go to Google and type in the number. Use the following format: “555-555-5555″ (make sure to include the quotation marks). Click on the search button and take a look at what comes up.

You are hoping that this phone number has been published online at some point in time. People will post their phone number on the internet for various reasons; they might be posting a classified ad or entering information on a ‘profile’ page. If this number has ever found it’s way on the internet, Google will find it.

Take a look at your search results and see if you were left with an exact match. If so, open up the page and see what information is available about the number. Obviously we are hoping to see at least the name of who owns the phone – if we can find out even more detailed information than even better.

You will often find the information you need by using this free and simple search. If it doesn’t, it’s easy enough to spend a couple of bucks for a reverse cell phone search through a professional company.

Since most phone numbers these days aren’t published in any phone book (unlisted and cell numbers), these phone records aren’t available in any “public domain”. Instead, companies have to pay money to have access to these records and then build databases that detective agencies, law enforcement and now the general public can search through.

It’s not expensive and you can do it all online. All you do is type in the phone number and then the owner’s name, address, location details and background information is instantly displayed on the computer screen.

There’s a link at the bottom of this article you can use to try a free sample search. It’s impressive to see how much information you can find out about someone with nothing but their phone number.

To save a few bucks look for a service that offers unlimited reverse cell phone searches for a flat one-time fee. This way you are only billed once and can then run a reverse cell phone search whenever you want. It’s a lot less expensive than having to pay for each individual search.

There’s a lot of reasons why you might need to use this type of service. Perhaps you are getting prank calls from a certain number and want to find out who is calling, or you want to know why a particular phone number keeps showing up on your spouse’s cell phone. Whatever the reason, it’s nice to know you can use a reverse cell phone search whenever you might need it. All the best!
