Remote Computer Repair – You Really Can Get Your Computer Repaired Remotely
The great thing about Remote Computer Repair is that support technicians are able to physically repair a computer while the PC user sits in front of the monitor and watches the work being performed. It is a fact that 98% of all computer related problems are software related and do not require hardware troubleshooting or repair. Though the work is performed physically to the computers software application the technician does not need to physically handle the keyboard, mouse or any other computer hardware.
One of the positive things about Remote Computer Repair is that computer owners do not need to unplug the computer from its printer and other peripherals, in order to take it physically into a repair shop. Even with the inconvenience of having to do so, doesnt translate to the saving of money. If fact, Remote Computer Repair can save a personal computer owner a lot of money that would otherwise be charged by a traditional repair shop. We all know that with the skyrocketing prices of gasoline, its not economical to drive around looking for the hard-to-find computer repair shop. Most Remote Computer Repair techs (although most of them are referred to as geeks) can have a system running smoothly before the PC user is finished with a cup of coffee or before they finish reading their favorite section of the local newspaper.
Some of the things that Remote Computer Repair techs address are: Hardware Issues/Driver/Software Errors etc.; tweaks and performance tune ups; computer hanging and crashes; computer updates; regular system maintenance; scanning for viruses, Trojans and backdoors; benchmarking and checking PC performance; new hardware setup assistance; software and hardware diagnosis; assisting in file back up, and in some cases 24 hour technical assistance.
The Remote Computer Repair geeks are highly-trained with both hardware and software certifications. In order to diagnose an issue, they use computer sharing programs such as Microsofts NetMeeting or the remote application installed in Microsoft Windows Operating System. The only requirement for the remote service is that the PC user should have the remote software installed on their computer and have access to high-speed Internet service. Though in some case, dialup service is acceptable, diagnosing is more efficient with a high speed connection.
If a computer software issue cannot be determined or repaired by a remote computer technician, they will suggest taking the hardware into a traditional repair shop, but at least the user will know that a lot has been done to service the CPU remotely before they are prompted to get on-site assistance.
Many PC users may be concerned about the reliability or expertise of a Remote Computer Repair assistant, but it is easy to check out their reputation with the Better Business Bureau, before giving out your credit card information or sending a payment through PayPal or other online banking sites. It is easy to find and give reviews for online computer services. Those who are not safe to use, do not have a legitimate way to stay online to harm unsuspecting computer users.
