To be able to effectively optimize the use of a computer one needs several applications. The applications that are available on the computer market is mind boggling. Each user will collect those applications that would make their life worthwhile in the computer world. The creators of applications have to be on the go to keep those applications relevant and user friendly. These maintenance procedures are also known as application lifecycle management.

This management process improves the applications regularly, with the aid of some specific development tools. The key though is to be alert so that they are applied at the right time and enhance the particular business process.

There are several companies who are wholly devoted to developing tools for these maintenance and updating procedures. These tools are mainly used by software/applications developers and help them to remain focused on the ever changing demands of businesses.

There needs to be an ongoing interaction between those who create tools and developers of applications. Applications keep changing mostly in the area of development and the tools for applications lifecycle management also need to be developed accordingly.

Fortunately, the application management process is standardized by the use of a modelling language known as Unified modeling language (UML). This ensures that tools are constant in appearance and transferable wherever they are used in the world.

Each company devotes itself to develop tools in specific fields. Each tool is designed with a common platform from design to delivery. These companies need to be responsive as the ever changing world of software expects them to be alert and jump in to make the necessary changes to ensure top-notch application lifecycle management tools.

The common user will find applications useful thanks to the efforts put in by the developers. But many fail to realize this continuous amount of effort put to sustain and manage these applications for their entire lifetime. Application Lifecycle Management
