Finding The Ideal Guy
By Alan Bentley
Every woman wants to find her ideal guy. This is the man that they want to spend the rest of their lives with, has the same the beliefs and compatible values, shares similar hobbies and interests. The ideal relationship does however involve two people with differing views and opinions, yet with a respect for the other.
A woman has a long list of ideals when it comes for the search for the ideal guy. She is generally looking for somebody with good looks, great personality, excellent humor, sharp intellect, good communication skills and caring compassion. Whilst these ideals are subjective, they are at the top of her list when it comes to the decision-making procedure.
Women are definitely not interested in guys who are controlling, insecure, disrespectful, possessive, jealous, clingy, rude, overconfident or a player. At the very bottom of the list is somebody who is just looking for sex!
Part of the fun of dating involves working out the personality of your ideal date. Are you looking for somebody who complements your personality, or who is the opposite? Sometimes women are looking for the edgy type and sometimes they’re looking for the rock solid, professional.
You need to work out what appeals to you when it comes to the long list of available qualities in a man. Certain character and personality traits are naturally attractive. For example, the classic romantic offers a great deal of appeal, as does the guy who is free-spirited, athletic or artistic. Some women are even attracted to the nerdy guy, so as you can see there is plenty of choice.
The ideal guy possesses a balance of qualities. On the one hand, he can be romantic and affectionate and send flowers to the office or plan a surprise dinner. On the other hand he can be supremely confident, yet keep that in check in case he comes across as being cocky. Someone who exhibits spontaneity can be adventurous, whilst also knowing when it is right to be smart, considerate or witty.
When women seek a man to spend their lives with, they are looking to fill a certain need. Some may want to start a family and are looking for a good father for their children. Others are simply seeking companionship without a formal commitment.
The ability to make a woman feel special and unique are the main characteristics of the ideal guy. Somebody who can be themselves, be charming and wonderful, and not feel threatened by the actions of others, nor are jealous or spiteful. Somebody who appreciates his woman and shows it through his words and deeds.
