The first date can make anyone nervous and be an intimidating proposition. Knowing that the other person will be looking at you and watching what you do and how you act can put a lot of pressure on the situation. Sometimes, when we get nervous, we make lots of little and embarrassing mistakes.
It may help to do a little planning, and it can be a great way to help make sure nothing goes wrong. The first thing to plan is where the date should be. Here are a few suggestions to help you decide where the best place for your first date should be.
Keeping the location simple and quiet would be the best suggestion. Loud dates like going to a concert, or somewhere with noisy crowds will make it hard to talk, and talking is important.
Going to the movies is not the best thing to do on a first date either, because you won’t be able to sit and talk and get to know one another.
Choose a spot that is not too expensive or cheap, and pick a place that won’t leave you regretful afterwards. Perhaps, finding a mid priced restaurant isn’t in the budget. Don’t worry, offer to make a nice and romantic meal at home. Chances your date is just as broke as you and wouldn’t mind.
Also, make sure the place you choose is convenient for her to get to. Something not too far out of the way and easy to find will be a good choice. Also, make sure they are comfortable with the arrangements, and if not, plan something different.
If you think going to a new spot is the best way to have the date, go visit it a few days before hand. This will give you a chance to check it out, and if you don’t like it there will still be time to find something better.
Everyone is nervous on a first date, including the other person. So, consider picking a place that is in a public setting. This is good for safety, and avoiding secluded locations will make everyone comfortable.
