The latest discovery of Motorola Mobile sued Apple to court documents, the former wanted to 2.25% of the revenue of the Apple wireless devices as the patent licensing fees.

The discovery surprised by Apple observers on Friday, Apple stopped the sales of earlier versions of the iPhone and 3G version iPad in its German online store on Friday, and to comply with the patent infringement case decision made by the German court in December last year a Motorola mobile.

Alan Hurley, Apple spokeswoman said: “some version of the iPad and iPhone will temporarily stop the sale in the Apple online store in Germany, but consumers can still be purchased through Apple retail stores and authorized dealers. ”

December 9 last year, Mannheim, Germany district court ruling, Apple’s sales subsidiaries in Europe must stop the sale or distribution of technology patent infringement of Motorola cellular mobile devices. Motorola mobile said the company beginning in 2007, negotiations with Apple and made a “reasonable licensing terms and conditions. Apple reiterated on Friday, it will be the ruling to appeal. Apple spokesman said: “Apple will decide this appeal, because Motorola Mobile has repeatedly rejected the patents under reasonable conditions to Apple.”

Muller pointed out that the Southern California district court documents shows, Motorola’s mobile needs of the 2.25% royalty. It is very unfair a FRAND type to the question patent, which means that Motorola Mobile must be authorized to competitors.

Apple also proposed to view the patent license between Motorola Mobile and Nokia, HTC, LG Electronics and Ericsson to Motorola Mobile Apple excessive charges can be determined. Motorola Mobile did not mention the 2.25% revenue covers the cost of all the patents, but if Apple accepted, then the patent struggle between Motorola’s Mobile and Apple may end, for a single patent, the cost is too large.

According to the documents Apple filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, from fiscal 2007 to fiscal year 2011, Apple’s revenue from the iPhone to reach $ 92.64 billion, which means that the Motorola Mobile extract $ 2.08 billion. If the final survey found that Motorola Mobile does not authorized to Apple the FRAND the patent, then the company will face a survey from the European antitrust authorities.
