Import from China and avoid the fakes
With the recession now upon us, traders and business people are looking to find merchandise they can sell on Ebay. When you sell on this auction site, you will need some of the keenest buys to compete with others struggling for a place in the market. There are some things you should do to minimize risk when you import from China.
Consider avoiding electronics at all costs. If it looks far too cheap then its probably a fake.
If you should be tempted to buy them you must realise you run the risk of being left with any faulty ones because you will have no one to return them to for a refund.
Designer clothing you find from China are usually fake. Never try to pass off these goods as originals or you could get sued or at the very least, have them confiscated. A good guide is that if the prices are too good to be true, then avoid them.
Instead look for a site or company selling quality unbranded merchandise for a good price. As long as they are not trying to sell you a brand, you can be more assured that the merchandise that they have is a reasonable.
Look for high ranking sites. This is not a foolproof method, but usually sites with the highest rank are straight because they have invested in promoting themselves and not a brand. Watch the domain name that they are using. If they are trying to grab visits to their site with the use of a brand name, avoid them.
Look for contact information for you on their site. This doesn’t mean that they are a legitimate company but it is better to see contact information than none at all.
Check out the types of payments that are accepted. If you are not comfortable sending your payment for merchandise in the way they ask, then suggest and alternative. They should be able to accept normal international payment methods. The bottom line on dealing with import from China is that you have to be wary. If you think you are going to get name brand designer merchandise for a fraction of what it sells at back home, you are in dangerous territory.
Develop a new source of income when you import from china. Well established hand holding service removes all the dangers and helps you make solid deals with dependable companies.
