Extra Virgin Olive Oil & the Truths People May Not Know

By Rob Sutter

As a big fan of extra virgin olive oil, I can pretty much tell you the best things about it. In addition to being one of the healthiest cooking supplements one could imagine, it functions very well as a food item that you can use with bread, salad, or what have you. However, I’ve started to research this component a bit more and I was surprised to learn about a number of facts that had flown over my head. These are beneficial, without question, but ones that I would have never thought about.

Extra virgin olive oil is one of those subjects that I researched much on and I soon stumbled upon the Daily Green website. One of the articles that I came across on said website spoke about smaller functions for this oil which probably hasn’t been noticed by anyone apart from oil authorities like Bellucci Premium. Nonetheless, I soon learned that this oil could potentially quell fits of snoring. This comes from the idea that the oil can positively impact the throat, clearing the passage so that air could pass through in an easier fashion.

While the mileage of this potential usage varies depending on who you talk to, it’s possible that this oil can be used for earaches. The article said that it’s a possible remedy, utilizing a cotton swab, applying a small amount of the oil to clean the ear cavity. This means that there can be fewer instances of earaches and lower amounts of earwax too. While it’s been said that the oil should be heated up beforehand, make sure that you pay heed to said oil’s smoke point.

Did you also know that this oil can potentially mend rickety items in your home? Anything from zippers which have hanged off of a jacket to squeaky hinges can be mended thanks to this oil. You’re going to want to use just a small amount for these instances, though, since you don’t want to saturate these items with it. It’s clear that this oil has a number of different uses and I believe it’s just a matter of incorporating them in ways people can use.

Upon seeing this oil at first glance, you wouldn’t have guessed that it could serve so many purposes. Hopefully you understand that this item has more uses than simply the ones when placed alongside various food products. The kinds of everyday functions that it has may not be taken into consideration so much but I think they deserve to be known. Who’s to say that people won’t let this information stick, allowing it to possibly come in handy sometime in the future?
