The comparative obscurity of this diet has induced many people to buy into specific myths about this way of eating. I would like to do my part to promote truthful knowledge about the alkaline diet by taking a critical look at these erroneous beliefs.

First, lots of people think that the alkaline diet means that it’s important to do away with all acidifying foods. In reality, this is not the case. The point of this diet is never to make your tissues as alkaline as possible, but simply to achieve the perfect balance between acid and alkaline components.
