Many folks mistake nutritionists as being dietitians. Although they function quite similarly, the main difference between them is a matter of degrees. Literally, the dietitian will have more formal education than a nutritionist, but both will probably have at least a bachelors’ degree. There is a Clinical Nutritionist Certificate which will enable a person to operate in a wider area of the population than with just experience in food and nutrition.

The salary of the two will not remain alike, with a dietitian drawing more money than a certified nutritionist. A clinical nutritionist may be a part of The International & American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists and work for the nutritional well being of people they come into contact with. At this level, the nutritional health professional may come close to the salary of a dietitian.

There are a vast number of places a nutrition expert may find themselves employed. Health clinics, hospital dietary departments, doctors offices and so forth, are among the many varieties of situations. Sports clinic are another area you will see nutrition experts toiling, helping the athletes to learn better eating habits to accomplish the various goals they have set for themselves. Building, strengthening and increasing endurance are some of those goals.
