Real Thai Food With Thai Caterers In Swindon
By Ployta Wong
Our Thai food has become increasingly popular in Swindon and Wiltshire over the past 12 months. Why? Because Thai food is famed for its rich, fresh and varied spices. Because of this we’re requested for various functions including weddings, anniversaries and work parties.
It is increasingly the case that Thai food is served in restaurants and pubs across the UK and the world. The truth is this food is usually not made by Thai’s and as such, rarely does the original dish justice. Authentic Thai food has been passed down through the generations with delicately balanced ingredients. That’s rarely the case on British high streets.
Before continuing our conversation about Thailand, you may be curious to learn a few more facts about ‘The land of the free’? Thailand holds itself in this regard because it remained a sovereign state while other countries in the region were conquered by European colonialists. Despite ideas to the contrary, Thailand is not a small country. It is infact larger than Spain. Over the past decade or so, as Thailand has been explored by Western tourists, its secret dishes have been revered the world over.
Familiar herbs used in Thai dishes are mint, Thai basil, garlic and prominently chili. You’ll find these ingredients stoke the taste buds in Seafood salad and roast duck among others. These are dishes that are best supplemented with noodles and rice. Jasmine rice, derived from Thailand, and egg noodles are common compliments.
You’ll note the Thai diet is rich in fruit and vegetables. In contrast to the typical western diet, Thai food is incredibly healthy. Its varied and vibrant ingredients means that it has steadily grown in popularity. This is evidenced by the number of Thai restaurants and the demand for Thai Caterers.
