The Correct Way To Prepare Pumpkin Seeds

If they're toasted and salted correctly they are splendidly crunchy and straightforward to eat. It helps if you're going to eat them with the shells on if you use seeds from sugar pumpkins, somewhat smaller than the mega-sized carving pumpkins (not particularly pumpkins but large squish). Are you wanting to know the trick? Boil the seeds in salted water first, and then toast them in the oven.

Recipe on the right way to make pumpkin seeds:

You only need: One mid sized pumpkin, salt and olive oil

1. Preheat stove to 400F. Cut open the pumpkin and utilise a strong metal spoon to scoop out the insides. Separate the seeds from the stringy core. Wash the seeds.

2. In a little shallow pan, add the seeds to water, about 2 cups of water to each half cup of seeds. Add a large spoon of salt for every cup of water. Bring to the boil. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from stove and drain.

3. Spread about a large spoon of olive oil over the base of a cookie sheet, or spray well with Pam. Spread the seeds out over the cookie sheet, all in one layer. Bake on the top rack for 20 minutes or until the seeds begin to brown. When browned to a satisfactory level, take from the oven and let the pan cool on a rack. Let the seeds cool all the way down before eating. Either crack to get rid of the inner seed (plenty of needless work or eat whole (which is the way most individuals enjoy them).

Another great way how to make pumpkin seeds are to use is to use them as a crust or coating.

Roast cup pumpkin seeds with 4 clove garlic

Process and add T. Oil and 2T bread crumbs.

Use for fish, chicken, lamb and so on.
