The Soft Shell Tacos Will Bring You To Your Knees!

By Gregory Scott

Lately in Wellington, Florida (one of South Florida’s many popular areas), I have been eating a lot of flavorful burritos. I think I have tried all of different styles for burritos and have decided to move on to tacos! I was initially very excited. If tacos were even half as delicious as the burritos I had been eating recently then I was in for a treat. In retrospect though, I was wholly unprepared for what followed. I have never had a taco taste as good as the Mediterranean tacos before in my life! I don’t know what I was expecting, but this was not it!

Immediately curious, I watched them start to prepare my taco. Or should I say tacos! Three soft flour tortillas were laid out just for me. They looked absolutely delicious, and I was anxious to see what happened next.

Then it was off to the meat (chicken, chicken breast, pork, and steak). Or no meat at all, I was immediately informed of by the employee helping me. The mediterranean was a perfect vegetarian meal in and of itself already, and no meat was necessary. Though for the carnivores, it did add a little bit of flavor.

The next step was a rare black bean hummus. This is where the protein was for the vegetarians! And wow was it incredible. I’ve never seen anything quite like it!

The next item they added to each individual tortilla was diced tomatoes. They informed me that these tomatoes were grown and bought locally! In favor of local farming and of Wellington tacos, I was not surprised to see that these tomatoes were fresh and fit for a king!

When I got to the cheeses, my eyes widened. Cheese is probably one of my favorite delicacies ever, and I was overwhelmed with choices. When I asked what they suggested for the mediterranean, the employees all recommended parmesan. They really knew what they were talking about!

I was more than willing to accept another suggestion of cucumbers. This ingredient ended up being one of my favorites in the whole taco dish. It gave the taco a coolness that it would have otherwise been without!

Arguably the most important part is the sauce. For the mediterranean, you’ll want to employ the balsamic vinaigrette. This is easily the best decision with this taco and you will not look back.

I should have suspected that only grill restaurant could have given me something like the Mediterranean taco. I am continually enthralled by their great taste in everything right down to steak taco. I may never leave Jupiter, Florida!
